Alene Bell

Having been raised by faithful Christian parents in the Lutheran church, I thank God for the foundation provided to me by them. A friend invited me to his church in Tempe during my last year at ASU, and it was there that I came to Christ and met my husband Ray. We praise God for nearly 40 years of a great marriage and the blessing of two fantastic children: our son Paul, a distance runner, married to Jenny (both of whom are on staff with Campus Crusade for Christ at U of A), and our daughter Lauren, who played basketball from 6th grade into college, is enjoying the restaurant industry.

Our family has attended bible churches and our joy in service has included teaching parenting classes, leading bible studies in our home and at church, participating in children and youth ministry, singing in choir and assisting with church membership classes. Ray and I have been members at Camelback Bible Church for over 20 years, so much of our ministry work has been done here. We also love entertaining people of all ages in our home…it is another way we serve our Lord. In our down time you’ll find us with friends and family, reading, swimming, cooking, in the yard, or walking the dog.

I began in Early Childhood Education some 25 years ago when our son was in preschool.   I was on the school board at his school and God’s prompting took me back to school to obtain my degree in Early Childhood Education. I feel so blessed to be back at Camelback Christian School after 12 years of working at other schools. Every day I get to do what comes most natural…love and encourage these little ones and show them Christ’s love. And as Director I am also able to commit myself to my other passion, training staff and shepherding them in their walk with God.  It is very important to me to help teachers grow and develop the gifts and talents God has given them so they can be an even greater blessing to these sweet children we are privileged to serve.

I appeal to you therefore, brothers, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship. Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind. – Romans 12:1-2
