What To Expect
HOW LONG IS THE WORSHIP SERVICES?
Our services last about 75 minutes. Services start at 9:00am and 11:00am
WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE SERVICE?
Singing: We love to worship God through singing together on Sunday mornings. The singing time is not a performance that we observe. Instead we seek to sing songs that the whole church can participate in singing together. We chose songs filled with biblical truth about Jesus.
Prayer: Each week, someone leads the congregation in praying to God. These are times for all of us to speak to God in our hearts and minds. We also encourage people to pray together after the service. If you would like someone to pray for you come to the front after the service and talk to a pastor or member of our prayer team.<br>
Teaching: Biblical teaching is central every time we gather as a church. Every week a pastor reads from the Bible, explains what it means, and applies God’s truth to our lives. Our teaching is driven by the gospel, the Bible’s main message of how God provides salvation to sinners through the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Giving: Each Sunday morning we give people the opportunity to give as an act of worship to God. If you are a guest or are new, please just be our guest. Our weekly offering is for those who consider Camelback Bible their church home.
WHAT IS AVAILABLE FOR CHILDREN?
Nursery (Newborn – 24 Months) Loving volunteer staff minister Christ to the little ones in our nursery in a way that encourages the child’s development.
Kids (2 Years – Grade 6) Sunday Morning Discipleship is an age-graded instructional program which takes our children throughthe key Biblical truths and stories in these foundational years. The goalis to encourage each child topersonally know the character and works of the God of the Bible.
NOTE: When attending our Sunday morning kid’s classes, children are required to check-in with their parents in order for each family to receive matching identification tags. These tags are exclusive to your family and your visit. Your child will need to wear the name tag portion, and parents will be given their own matching tag to bring back for check-out. During checkout parents will need to show their tag to their child’s teacher in order for their child to be released back to them.
Discovery I, typically on the 1st Sunday of the month, is a great opportunity for anyone who is new to our church to get to know us better and ask questions. You’ll learn about ways to sink your own spiritual roots into the rich soil of Jesus Christ and the many opportunities to serve among us.
Discovery II is a series of four discussion sessions where we take a deeper look at our role as a church and the value of membership in it. These sessions can help you consider your own position in Christ and the gifts he has given you to serve in his kingdom. We’ll learn more about the practical ways to serve like Christ: how we are drawn in to him, built up in him, and sent out by him.
We meet in homes around the Valley to put Christ’s command to love one another into practice. Community Groups exist so that we can pray and study together and live out the life of our church family.
