We were lost. Now we’re found…in him. Everyone has experienced isolation and alienation. We lost more than a nice home when we were banished from Eden. We lost relationship with God and with each other. But then God did the unthinkable. The Son of God became the man Christ Jesus: one of us that we might be united to him. Explore the wonder of the incarnation and the glory of our union with Christ, which offers us a sure path to ultimate acceptance and true belonging through the power of the gospel.
6:30 pm – 8:30 pm | Room 207 | Please note childcare is NOT available for this session
Led by Leslie Blakely
James, Jesus’ own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Topics in this study include: joy, hardship, faith, reversal of fortunes for rich and poor, wisdom, gifts from above, single-mindedness, the dangers of the tongue, humility, and prayer.
