The Camelback Sanctuary Choir and baroque musicians along with world-renowned soloists will perform Parts 2 and 3 of Handel’s Messiah. This is a unique opportunity to hear this beautiful music in one of the nation’s finest acoustical spaces. The sanctuary of Camelback Bible Church is host to some of the world’s finest choirs and recordings.
The choir’s conductor, Dr. Luke Lusted, currently performs with the Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale, and Grammy-nominated True Concord Voices and Orchestra. Dr. Lusted has performed in venues such as St.
Paul’s Cathedral, London, and Alice Tully Hall in Lincoln Center.
Dr. Guy Whatley
Accompanying the choir will be harpsichordist Dr. Guy Whatley who has performed the complete keyboard works of G.F. Handel and was dubbed the “rock star of the harpsichord” by the Arizona Daily Star.
This orchestra features instrumentalists who are specialists in baroque performance, including local favorites, renowned ASU oboist Martin Schuring and baroque cellist Barbara Metz.
Soprano, Cait Frizzell, with a voice described in the South Florida Classical review as “light and radiant” with an “ethereal and angelic tone” (Arizona’s Grammy-nominated True Concord Voicesand Orchestra, Grammy-nominated Seraphic Fire, Irish national choir Anúna)

Local favorites, mezzo-soprano Karen Knudsen (Grammy-winning Phoenix Chorale, Arizona Bach Festival) and tenor Justin Carpenter (Metropolitan Opera National Council Arizona District Winner)
