Camelback YOUTH

The goal of Camelback YOUTH is to see each student in a discipleship relationship with Jesus Christ. It may be one-on-one, or it may be in a small group, but we want students to become more connected to Christ through being mentored by other Christians.

Discipleship Class (Grades 7-12)

Sundays, 11:00 am – 12:15 pm, Room 208. We gather to pray and study the Scriptures. This summer we are looking at the power and purpose of God’s people coming together as the Church. The morning includes games, food, and a few surprises. This is a great time to make new friendships or to build the ones you already have with other teens at Camelback.

On the first Sunday of each month we do not meet. Instead we worship and share communion together as a church family.

The second Sunday of each month is Second Sunday Breakfast. Invite your friends and join us for Breakfast and Bible Study.

Missions

In the first chapter of Acts, Jesus declares that the Holy Spirit brings the power of God to take this call to cities, to nations, to the entire world.

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth. — Acts 1:8

Challenged by doubt, afflicted by imprisonment, threatened with death, and persecuted by governments, Christ’s followers have heeded the call to proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth. As followers of Christ, we are presented with the glorious task of making his name known. We are being transformed inwardly by the Spirit that gives us the power to pursue the renewal of all things.

It is our hope and prayer that the Spirit stirs in the hearts of our youth the desire to proclaim the gospel; in word and deed, in their families, in their schools, in their city, and in this world. While many in our culture view the teen years as a stage of aimless wandering, we believe that these years are integral for developing our children into the adults they will become. Our goal is to provide a variety of experiences that evidence the truth of the Scriptures and witness to the mighty work our Lord is doing in this fallen world.

We are passionate about getting students to be the hands and feet of Christ both locally and globally. Contact A.C. for more information about joining our missions teams and service projects.

“…until we all attain the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ, so that we may no longer be children, tossed to and fro by the waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by human cunning, by craftiness in deceitful schemes.” –Ephesians 4:13-14
