From Glory to Glory

Thursdays, June 1 – July 13 | 6:30 – 8:00 pm | with Beccy Jones at her home: 7143 N 15th St Phx 85020.

Did you ever consider that God uses our everyday experiences as part of his transforming work in our lives? This study is designed to delve into some of the aspects of our lives that God wants to use to transform us more and more into the image of his son, Jesus Christ. We will consider what it means to renew our minds and meditate on God’s word. We will also consider what repentance is and why forgiving others is such a key to the Christian life. Other topics include the subtleties of fear and the deception of worry. But most of all we will consider the joy of loving God with all our being.

There will be weekly homework both for personal benefit and to encourage our discussions. This study will prepare you to grow in your own personal life and prepare you to encourage others in their growth in Jesus Christ.

Summer Social, Thursday July 20

Ladies! Join us for food, fun, and fellowship!

GIFT – Glorifying God in Fellowship Together

GIFT provides a relaxed time each quarter for women at Camelback Bible Church to get to know each other, step away from life’s daily press, learn more about God and His workings among us, and get new ideas for reaching our “Jerusalem” and beyond. Each quarter’s gathering begins with conversation around a delicious meal, usually a themed potluck, followed by worship and a special speaker in the sanctuary. Annually, we meet at Hope Women’s Center in Phoenix to serve women in our community with a work project. Table service, beverages, and childcare are provided. Bring a dish to share!

2017 Season of GIFT:

Women’s Retreat

Each spring the women get away for a time of relaxation, fellowship, and encouragement in the Word.

  • Stay tuned for 2018 dates!

Christmas Brunch

Every year in early December, women from our church and their friends and family members gather together to hear a gospel message in the context of the Christmas season, followed by a festive brunch and time of fellowship. Many people join in by sharing their musical abilities, serving and cooking, hosting tables, welcoming guests, assisting in the technical needs, decorating, planning and much more.

Titus 2 Discipleship

Based on Titus 2:3-5, this discipleship opportunity provides for one-on-one relationships between older women and younger women, encouraging growth to God’s glory. We want to be centered in the cross of Jesus Christ and transformed by the Holy Spirit, something reflected in our service to others. Please contact Beccy Jones at cbctitus2discipleship@gmail.com to be matched with another woman for discipleship.

Service Opportunities

The Women’s Ministry supports several ongoing service ministries including, among others, MealMakers, Meals for New Moms and Meals for Crisis Pregnancies. Please contact us if you are interested in participating in any of these activities or ministries.

Regular Bible Studies

Women’s Prayer and Bible Study

Mondays | 7:30 – 9:30 am | Welcome Center. Each week, the Women’s Prayer and Study group focuses on a pre-selected passage of scripture. Using study guidelines, we mine the depths of each selected passage, discussing it as a group. We also share prayer requests and pray together. The group is multigenerational, ranging from teenagers to women in their nineties. Many valley congregations are represented by its members, not just Camelback Bible Church.
